Fairies VS Monsters

An Awesome Game of MAGIC and MAYHEM!

This fantasy board game is currently in development. I am expecting to publish it in 2017. The premise is a simple one... a team of Fairies does battle with a team of Monsters, using magic spells, special abilities and even powerful treasure.

MAYHEM!

The idea came about one rainy day spent at home with the kids. We got out all of the "girl" and "boy" toys and decided to turn our battles into a playable game. In less than 6 months, we had a printed prototype that we've been beta testing at conventions and with friends and family.



In addition to being a fast, fun and family-friendly game, it teaches younger kids some skills that are important in just about any walk of life -- measuring, addition, subtraction, strategy, even probability.

This will be the third offering from Milton Roe Creative, my gaming company. The process of making and publishing games is a daunting one, especially when your company consists of only 2 designers who work full-time elsewhere. However, I have recently taken somewhat of a leap-of-faith by resigning from my day job to become a stay-at-home dad and work exclusively on game design and writing.

Expect to hear a lot more about Fairies VS Monsters in the coming months. This is a very exciting project with lots of space for creativity and innovation.
